Building Resilience Through Meditation
Just as we go to the gym and exercise to give our body a workout, meditation is a practice that makes our mind strong balanced and flexible. Through cultivating mindfulness and awareness, we discover that we are able to work through challenging situations.
When we go beyond our distractions, worries, habitual thought patterns, and the hustle and bustle and difficulties in the world outside, we can see what is really happening in our minds. Through meditation, we create space in our mind, which opens us up to new possibilities, ideas and a wealth of inner resourcefulness.
In these times of unprecedented challenge, change and uncertainty, more than ever we need to cultivate our inner strength so we can handle the ups and downs of life and bring our best self to each situation.
Sessions will be held through zoom. They will give people the tools to focus, connect with their strengths and solve their problems. They will learn how to slow down a busy mind so they can relax and recharge their batteries.
Participants will need a smart phone or computer and internet connectivity. Up to a hundred can attend each session.
Sessions can be run as a one-off session or over multiple weeks with 1 or more session of 20 minutes to 40 minutes every week.
Here is an example of a simple effective practice you will do as part of the programme.
