Spiritual Earth (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use spiritualearth.com (the “Site”), our emails, free resources, bookings, and payment features.

1) What we collect

a) Information you provide

  • Newsletter sign-up (Zoho Campaigns): email address, optional name (double opt-in).

  • Bookings (Zoho Bookings): name, email, chosen service/timezone, notes; if payment is required, billing details handled by the payment processor shown at checkout.

  • Paid plans / subscriptions (Zoho Subscriptions & Stripe): name, email, billing address, plan details; payment details are processed by the relevant provider (we don’t store full card numbers/CVC).

  • Messages/forms: anything you send us (e.g., inquiries, feedback).

b) Automatic data (when you visit)

IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic analytics.

2) How we use your information

  • Provide content & access control: run the Site and manage access to the free library.

  • Newsletter: send you updates and free resources (unsubscribe anytime).

  • Bookings: schedule and manage appointments (Zoho Bookings).

  • Payments & subscriptions: process one-off and recurring payments, issue invoices/receipts, and provide support (Stripe and/or Zoho Subscriptions).

  • Security & fraud prevention: protect the Site and payment flows.

  • Analytics & improvement: understand what’s working and fix issues.

  • Legal & compliance: tax/accounting and other legal obligations.

Legal bases (EEA/UK):

  • Contract (bookings, payments, delivering resources)

  • Legitimate interests (site security, access control, basic analytics)

  • Consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies)

  • Legal obligation (tax/records)

3) Cookies & local storage

We use a minimal set:

  • Essential (always on)

    • crumb (Squarespace) - CSRF/security. Session/short-lived.

    • Stripe checkout cookies - for fraud prevention and to complete payments.

    • Zoho cookies - may be set by Zoho Campaigns (newsletter form), Zoho Bookings (embedded scheduler), and Zoho Subscriptions (checkout/portal) to ensure forms, sessions, and payments work correctly.

    • se_free_ok (localStorage, not a cookie) - stored for 90 days after you confirm your email to keep the free page unlocked on that device.

  • Analytics (consent-based)

    • Squarespace Analytics (e.g., ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, etc.) - helps us understand site usage. Set only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner.

Manage non-essential cookies via Manage Cookies in our banner. You can clear the se_free_ok key anytime by clearing your browser’s site data.

4) Sharing & processors (service providers)

We use trusted processors to run the Site. They only use your data to provide their services to us:

  • Squarespace - website hosting & built-in analytics

  • Zoho Campaigns - newsletter sign-up, double opt-in, email delivery

  • Zoho Bookings - appointment scheduling (and, if enabled, booking-related payments)

  • Zoho Subscriptions - subscription management and recurring billing

  • Stripe - payment processing (popup checkout/overlay)

These providers may process data internationally. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Data retention

  • Newsletter contacts: until you unsubscribe or we delete inactive records.

  • Bookings: for as long as needed to manage appointments and comply with legal/recordkeeping duties.

  • Subscriptions & payment records: for the period required by tax and accounting law.

  • Access-control key (se_free_ok localStorage): 90 days per device unless you clear it sooner.

  • Analytics logs: typically short-term aggregates.

6) Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe).

EEA/UK: You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CPRA): We do not sell/share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses; contact us to exercise them.

7) Children

Our Site isn’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their data.

8) Changes

If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you on the Site or by email.
